One of my favorite events that I went to this year was the USC production of West Side Story! This show was put on by current USC students in the Kaufman School of Dance and the Thornton School of Music in partnership with Visions and Voices. I absolutely love musicals so I was excited to finally see this one. And it was spectacular! It’s so hard to believe that these are all students who put in so much time during the year to make such a wonderful experience. If you haven’t yet gone to a Visions and Voices event, I highly recommend!

(Note to self: definitely go to the beach more.) My friends and I spent a super relaxing weekend at Dockweiler Beach, one of the locations where you can set up bonfires. We got nice and toasty with our smores and hot dogs and enjoyed a beautiful golden hour. That’s the great thing about going to school in LA! When you’re not studying or doing work, there are so many things you can do. So grateful to have such wonderful friends to share these moments with :’)[/cs_text][x_image type=”thumbnail” src=”https://viterbivoices.usc.edu/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/dockweiler-beach-usc.jpg” alt=”” link=”false” href=”#” title=”” target=”” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” info_content=””][cs_text]Sometimes you really have to enjoy the small things. My friends and I went to go watch the USC vs. UCLA women’s water polo match. Football may be arguably our biggest sports season, but don’t forget about everything else! Tennis is always a fun to watch (and sometimes they’ll give away free food to the first 150 or so fans!) This was my first time watching water polo and while our 11-5 victory was the talk of the night, check out how beautiful the sky looked! The biggest thing I’ve learned this year is to surround yourself with people you trust and can count on to help you through tough times. College isn’t all a breeze, and when you do hit a snag, it’s so important to be able to look to your closest friends for help. There’s nothing wrong in admitting you can’t do it all, taking a step back, and trying again. I can’t wait to see what my friends and I will be up to next year! The end of the year always ends in a flurry of events and scrambling to study for finals. Now that it’s over, I’m taking a deep breath and looking back at some of my favorite moments that I want to share with you:
