So apparently I couldn’t get enough of Europe, because after a wonderful summer in Rome with the Viterbi Abroad program, I’m back for more!  I’m spending the semester in Edinburgh, Scotland and it’s been such a rush so far.  I’ve been here about three weeks, and already I feel like I know the city like the back of my hand.  It’s quite a small city, very walkable, and nothing like LA.  The best part about Edinburgh is that the people who live here are shamelessly kind.  They’ll help you with anything from directions to a recommendation on a good restaurant.

The weather here has actually been pretty mild so far.  Last week it was sunny every day and I thought I was back in LA.  But it’s been raining the past couple of days so it’s back to normal.  I started classes last week and they’ve been pretty tame so far, which is good.  The school system here is very different from that of the states.  It’s mostly self study, which means you need a lot of will power.  Most of my classes only have final exams, which means I’m going to have to make sure to not get behind.  Anyway, I’m going to try to learn at least a little bit while I’m here!  I’ve also joined some of the student groups on campus.  I auditioned for and got accepted into the fall musical Fiddler on the Roof.  We’ve been rehearsing a lot which has been a nice way to keep me busy and make friends.  Anyway, I actually have quite a bit of work to get done, so I’m going to get to it.  Until next time!
