Hi there everyone! Hope you’ve all been having a great week!
So I was searching for a bit of inspiration about what to write for this week’s blog. I mean heck, I’ve had three papers due, and a midterm last week, so I hadn’t up to much outside of the classroom and the library. But that all changed Sunday evening, when I went with my friend Blake to Umami Burger, in Hollywood!
I just wrote a Yelp review about this place, with words to the effect that: “Let’s stop fooling around….this is the best burger place in the world, based on my not so inconsiderable experience as a burger connoisseur of 22 years.”
The most distinguishing thing about a good burger is that you don’t want to feel like you gained 10 pounds after you ate it. Well then, you have found the solution at Umami. Their Kobe beef patties are made with really lean beef. So I ate one, and I felt great! The fries and onion rings are prepared with light batter too! The end result: it’s healthier too! That made me feel better.
Okay so a few other things about the place: They have Coke from Mexico. What does that mean? Well, in Mexico, Coke uses real sugar, not fructose syrup. Trust me, it tastes like 100x better! For dessert, if you have a few calories to spare, you have to try the Vanilla Bean ice-cream sandwich, which as been dipped in chocolate fudge. Absolutely to die for!
Here’s the link for the restaurant so that you can explore a bit of their menu. Definitely worth buying dinner for your bud that has a car! Trust me it was absolutely divine!
I made it out there this week, and plan on going back there next week too! Hopefully, I’ll see you there!
Elsewhere from this highlight of my weekend, I hope that everyone is doing well in school, and keeping up-to-date on deadlines…..if not ahead!
I found using OneNote for organizing my college notes/deadlines to be really useful….one page for each college I was considering. You might try that out for yourself.
In the mean time, I really encourage you to continue to learn more about USC by visiting the Viterbi School of Engineering homepage: http://viterbi.usc.edu/
