Hey Everyone! Hope you have/are having a great spring break!  April 1 is right around the corner! You know what that means!!!   I bet you have been hearing back left and right from schools about acceptances and great opportunities- congratulations! As you reflect on the opportunities which lie before you, just want to invite you to re-invite you to check out ViterbiVoices and in particular to check out my fellow VSAs’ blogs about “Why I choose USC” according to each of us! We hope it helps, and if you have any questions, you are most welcome to drop us a line at viterbistudent@usc.edu to get your questions answered!

In other news- did you know that on 21 April:

753BC: Romulus and Remus founded Rome

1509: King Henry VIII ascends to the throne in England

1952: Secretary’s Day is first celebrated

1989: Tiananmen Square Protests & Warren’s B-day

Well yes, what a day to be born on.  At any rate, I thought I would share with you one of the cool things about being in Socal: proximity to entertainment central: Vegas. I’ll be there with one of my extracurricular organizations to celebrate a year’s worth of hard work within the organization as well as to kick off a new year for me!  Driving the I-15 in four and a half hours to Vegas with friends is a really cool opportunity to catch up on stuff outside of school.

With a steal of a deal for rooms at this place.. (Aria)….couldn’t pass up the opportunity!

And it’ll be great to welcome some of my family to LA the next weekend to keep the celebrations going!

Got tickets confirmed to see Cirque du Soleil – O-Show, my favorite! Has any one else seen it?

One of my favorite places to eat while there is this Japanese restaurant called Shibuya at the MGM Grand. Check out their link: Shibuya

Personally, I love the Steak and Chicken Combo, with a combination of terriyaki, soy, and butter (terrible for arteries, I know-but use sparingly only when in Vegas!) One of the perks of this restaurant is the teypanyaki style cooking (where they cook in front of you).

My other favorite place to eat pizza is in New York New York, all you can eat $9.99. What a steal!

Well, that wraps up my birthday planning! Gonna be great, and I will have a full report on it in due time!

In the mean time- continue to enjoy spring break/work hard in school! Be on the lookout for a small surprise in the coming days….nothing scary, I promise….you’ll see!
