Every now and then, I find myself doing homework or studying late into the night during a time when most food establishments are closed. However, being the good college student that I am, I have quickly learned of many places around campus that stay late to satiate students’ hunger needs.

First and foremost is USC run Trojan Grounds aka “TroGo”. TroGo is located right next to the entrance into Birnkrant freshman dormitories near Leavey Library and is open 24/7. TroGo has everything from coffee and pastries, to burritos and ice cream, making it the perfect destination for a midnight snack on campus. The best part: pay for all of your food and drinks with USC Dining Dollars.

TroGo!

If you are feeling a little bit more ambitious and want a hearty meal to get you through the night, stop by Panda Express, Carls Jr., or Del Taco. All of these places are located off of Figueroa and 29th street and are about a 7 minute walk from Leavey Library. Like TroGo, Carls Jr. and Del Taco are open 24/7 while Panda Express is only open until 2:30 AM during the week. While you cannot use USC Dining Dollars here, each of these places provides a good meal at a pretty good price. Going to any of these places, it is very likely that you will run into fellow Trojans waiting in line to order.

For me, however, nothing beats going to Subway. Subway is also open 24/7 and is the healthiest late-night food option available; also, it can be found in University Gateway and the University Village. To me, nothing is more delicious late at night than a 12 inch sub with three cookies and a drink (I get really hungry when it’s late). The cool thing is that the student discount card all USC students let’s you buy this deliciousness at a cheaper price!

In general, no matter what mood of food you are in for late at night, chances are, you can find it in one of these places.
