Living in LA definitely has its perks. For me, one of the first and foremost is the fact that I am within 20-30 minutes driving distance from 4 different beaches. This past weekend, I spent an evening at Venice Beach.

For those of you who have never been there, I find it to be one of the most interesting places in the country. It has such a diverse array of all kinds of people who can be found working the local shops, working the market stands, or street performing. In one area, there’s a small skate park and right next to it a little area that serves as a roller skating rink. It’s a lot of fun to just chill in this area and watch the skaters and rollerbladers do there thing, especially because the roller skaters skate-dance to music that they are playing. There’s also a bike path, beach volleyball courts, and basketball courts all along the beach and the boardwalk.

However, this past weekend, I did not go for all the pleasantries described above: I went for the food. See, there’s this really good Italian restaurant called C&O Trattoria that has some of the best garlic rolls EVER made. The pasta and the rest of the food there is also really good (I recommend any of the Pappardelle Pastas.

This place can get real busy

I love eating outside in their atrium area but it can be very difficult to get a table there
