That is a loaded question. New city, new job, new friends; this summer has been full of new experiences, professional growth and personal development. Here are some of my favorite moments!!
One of my favorite hobbies from this summer has been hiking! On one of my recent hikes, I saw snow for the first time.
Rattlesnake Ledge, 3,481 ft
Lake 22, 2,400 ft
Mt. Si, 4,167 ft
I have also enjoyed traveling around on the weekends! I visited my family back in Florida for my grandmother’s for her 80th Birthday. Also went on a girls trip to Chicago where we took a bike ride along the pier and ate some amazing Peruvian food at a restaurant called Tonka! Lastly traveled to Vancouver, Canada to explore! We walked around Stanley Park, ate poutine(a Canadian classic dish), and ended the day with an International Firework Show!
Blastfest was the Afrobeats Festival of the pacific northwest. I saw performances from over ten artists including Asake, Tiwa Savage, and BSXN! This was such a fun event and I hope to attend many more festivals like this in the future!
I didn’t even get touch on the WNBA Games, Marmot sightings or about all of the amazing people that I have met. Through it all, my biggest takeaway from all these experiences(and more) is to be intentional. College does not last forever, internships do not last forever, however what can last forever are the memories and the relationships that are built. Be intentional about the way that you spend your time, and invest in your community!
