Wow, I can’t believe my first year at USC is already coming to a close. It has been hectic, crazy, hard, and really fun. Over the last couple weeks, the activities I’m involved with have started dropping off as everyone gets ready for the end of the semester and finals. The first activity to finish was Women’s Ice Hockey, but it finished with a bang. We had our annual tournament in Las Vegas. Although we didn’t do well in the competition, we played our best, had fun, and really bonded as a team. I’m sad practices are over for now; I’m certainly going to miss my teammates over the summer. Another program that is finishing up is the Viterbi Impact Program. Through VIP, I volunteer at Iridescent with their Family Science program, where I help teach engineering projects to elementary school students and their families. Last night was the final Family Science session this semester; we had a potluck that the parents contributed too, and we handed out books and t-shirts at the end of the session. There were over 100 people in attendance, it was chaotic trying to organize everyone. Last night was also the last judo practice of the semester. We had belt promotions, and I’m proud to say I was promoted! We have our end-of-the-semester banquet tomorrow night (to see more about the Trojan Judo Club, visit our Facebook page).
