Hey Everyone!

Hope you all watched the super bowl this past weekend. I was shocked at how the game ended!

Anyways, everyone around campus is currently in the process of figuring out where we are going to live next year. This got me thinking back to how excited I was to start figuring out where I wanted to live freshman year back when I was a senior in high school!

When I was trying to figure out where I wanted to live, I was debating between living in Birnkrant and living in New North. The two both are great, and I would have loved living in either one.

Ultimately, I decided to choose New North because the dorm rooms were a little bit larger, and my roommate and I were able to get one with a sink! Although USC also offers apartment style housing, that never interested me as much because I wanted the traditional dorm freshman year experience.

I lived on the cinema floor in New North, which was awesome because I was surrounded by so many creative people constantly working on a variety of projects. There was always some new video being filmed down our halls! I also liked the fact that New/North was a very social dorm in the sense that there was always someone willing to go out and get ice cream or go to the movies for a study break right down the hall.

I also loved the location of New North! New North is located right on McCarthy quad, and is connected to EVK, one of 3 freshmen dining halls. In addition, there was a Starbucks downstairs, and we were right next to Leavey, the 24-hour library!

Although you can’t go wrong with any of the housing options at USC, I’m very glad that I chose to live in New North!
