Hey y’all!
We’re about halfway through the semester now and classes are in full swing. I figured I’d do a quick recap of my week to give you all an idea of what a week in the life of a chemical engineer is like starting last Friday!
Friday:After a week of midterms, homework, and meetings, Patrick and I got dressed up for a night on the town for Tau Kappa Epsilons’ fall formal. His entire pledge class and their dates took a party bus to an adorable Italian restaurant in Hollywood. We then met up with the rest of his fraternity and their dates at the LA Athletic Club where we proceeded to dance the night away!
Saturday: Lots of studying today. The sophomore chemical engineers have our thermodynamics midterm Tuesday. I spent today studying things like the energy balance of a Rankine cycle and how we can calculate entropy from different charts, graphs, and equations.
Sunday: More studying today. It was a gorgeous day today so the Tri Delts I was studying with and I decided to move our studying outside! It definitely made working the problems more relaxing and enjoyable.
Monday: Monday is always one of my favorite days of the week, unlike most people! I love it because on Monday my sorority has Monday Night Dinner where the entire chapter dresses up and comes together for a nice sit down meal. It’s a great way to catch up with everyone!
Tuesday: Today was the day of the thermo midterm. I think I did well on it though. All the studying definitely paid off!
Wednesday: Today was a very relaxing day. Relieved that we didn’t have to think about thermo again for a little while, me and a few other chemical engineers went to go get our nails done.
Thursday: Today’s game day! We played the University of Arizona. The energy on campus was so high all day. Everyone was excited to see how the team would play after a bi week and the transition to Coach O. I’m thrilled to say that we won the game!
Fight on!
