Hey everyone!
Hope you all have had a good start back to school so far. It’s really hard for me to come to terms with the fact that I’m starting the second half of my time as an undergraduate here at USC! I’ve come a long way since Freshman year, and I can’t wait to see how I continue to grow and change over these next two years.
I’m super excited for this semester for a variety of reasons!
First, I’m thrilled to begin working as a Freshman Academy Coach this semester! Freshman Academy is a class that all freshmen engineers take. It’s basically an introduction to engineering, the problems engineers face, and the different types of engineering you can go into here at USC. My role is to serve as a mentor to the class and to help with any problems that may arise during the year!
In addition, I’m so happy that it’s football season once again! We had a great game on Saturday, and the season looks promising! It was great being back in a sea of cardinal and gold once more.
Third, I’m excited to have student organizations start up again. This marks my first semester as the president of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. The executive board I have the opportunity to work with is fantastic, and I can’t wait to plan a fun semester of events with them. In addition, I’m excited to start planning events for Order of Omega, the greek honors society, as well!
It’s a tough semester in terms of classes for me. I’m enrolled in Chemical Reactor Design, which is know to be a tough class, but I’m excited to see what this semester brings!
