With this semester coming to a close, I have a lot to be thankful for so I decided to take some time to reflect on my junior year so far. Here's a list of just some of the things I'm particularly thankful for this year.
I am so thankful for all of the oppertunities that I have had this semester. This semester, I was able to get involved with USC's Rocket Propulsion Lab (RPL). In RPL, I get to work on a team with some amazing new friends and get firsthand experience working with technology that I someday hope to utilize in my future career. This has been such an wonderful oppertunity since it has helped to confirm my interest in space technology and the specific career path I hope to pursue. Also my coursework this semester has really helped me to realize that mechanical engineering is definitely the industry for me, and I am excited to take even more classes that will prepare me for my future in engineering .The oppertunities I have had this semester to serve as treasurer of my pre-law fraternity and hold my first oncampus job have taught me so much about responsibility and finances. I also have gotten to have significantly more professional experiences this semester as I have done so much networking and interviewing for internships. I feel like I've really grown a lot this semester and that the oppertunities I have had finally seem directly applicible to my future , which I am extremely excited about!
This is the first semester of college where I've truly felt confident in longevity of all my friendships. Makeing friends in college can be tricky since people tend to come-and-go from majors and getting schedules to cordinate can be hard since everyone is involved in different activities. However, this semester it feels like my friendships have fallen into place, and my friends and I have made working around eachothers schedules a priority. I'm so grateful to have met so many amazing people at USC and to have also had time over Thanksgiving break to visit some of my friends from back home.
This past week, I was able to visit my extended family in Chicago for Thanksgiving. I am so thankful to have gotten a chance to see all of my relatives since my family is spread out across the country and it is alway difficult to get everyone together. I can't wait to go home for winter break to be reunited with my family and friends again.
I am so grateful for such an amazing semester filled with incredible experiences and shared with extraordinary people! See you in 2019!
