High School seniors, I couldn’t possibly feel any more empathy.
I can still vividly remember how stressed and anxious I was during this time period two years ago. Now that I think back, I was a bit foolish to be so worried because everything turned out just fine; the way it was supposed to.
As you are applying to schools, just be proud of yourself for pursuing higher education and putting in the effort to become a professional. For the past few years, you have prepared as best as you possibly could for this application process. However, do not feel disheartened if things do not actualize as you have envisioned them.
Enjoy your last year in high school, as everything is only going to get more difficult in college, and do not let the uncertainty eat you up. Relax, get motivated, and prepare for what’s to come.
You are going to fall in love with any University you attend. Make the best of it when the time comes and avoid feeling compromised to attend a school. Things may not seem ideal but they are going to be A-okay. Explore your options, research academic programs, and have a good attitude about it.
I got into my dream school here at USC, and I wish you all the same!
