Hi everyone! Yesterday was the first lacrosse game of the season for the USC Women’s Lacrosse Club team! As team president I have been preparing for this moment since the beginning of the summer. This is my 9th year of playing lacrosse, and I’m so glad it is a part of my college experience and that this year I can be involved in the decision making process for team games and events.
Both of our teams played both of UC Santa Barbara’s club teams yesterday, with my game first at 10 a.m. We left LA at 7 a.m. and the fog was so bad we didn’t get to see the beach the entire drive up, or down for that matter. With 50 girls between two teams, we played a great game against the defending league champs, but ended up losing 9-8 as time ran out. Nevertheless, our play looked great and we should have a great season! Here are some pictures from this weekend:

I’m so excited because we’ll be headed back to Santa Barbara next month for the annual Santa Barbara Shootout over President’s Day Weekend! This also happens to be our Parents Weekend, which my family comes to each year. This year we’re playing UC Davis, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and UC Santa Barbara again, plus a couple other teams. My freshman year it hailed on us at the tournament! Fingers crossed we get better weather this year. Since we only have two games each day, we spend the rest of our time exploring State St., going to the beach, and other activities with our families. Here are some pictures from the tournament last year:
