We’re only two weeks into my senior year at USC and I feel like I’ve already made so many new memories: I drove down to school from San Francisco, moved into my first apartment, made 60 wonderful new friends as a Panhellenic Recruitment Counselor, and just had an amazing labor day/gameday weekend. I can’t even begin to imagine how the rest of the semester is going to be!
I’m taking two civil engineering courses: the Mechanical Behavior of Materials, and Theory of Structures. My Mechanical Behaviors lab is really hands-on and seems like something I’m really going to enjoy. I’m also in my first aerospace and mechanical engineering course, in Thermodynamics! I’m really excited, and the professor has been awesome so far.
I’m also taking a general education course, Religions of Ancient Egypt and the Near East. I’m looking forward to new insights form the course and the professor, as I’ve gotten to study many different religions that have been new to me during my time at USC. Additionally, I’m in a Gerontology course, called Diversity in Aging. It’s unlike any other class I’ve gotten to take at USC, and I’m really interested in what we’ve gotten to learn so far.
I may be a senior, but I’m focusing on how wonderful this semester is going to be instead of how much I’ll miss it when I’m gone. Plus, who says I can’t come visit all of the time once I’ve graduated?
