It’s one of the most exciting times in your life: the beginning of college! There are so many new opportunities and people, it can be hard to just pick a few to work into your life. But one of the best things about freshman year is that you can try tons of new things, and if it doesn’t work out, then you can call it quits and try something else.

It’s okay to join a club you know nothing about! People will be happy to teach you. Worst case scenario, you join something that doesn’t end up working out, and you made some new friends along the way. Some of my best experiences in college so far have been because I tried something I was completely new to: classes, clubs, intramural sports, or just talking to people I didn’t know yet.
