I had the most amazing winter break!! I went to Hawaii with my family (cousins and all!), spent New Year’s by the shore and visited a lot of beautiful sites. The best part was seeing my fellow Trojans on the island of Oahu! Now that I think about it, I have more friends from Hawaii than I thought! I went out for Loco moco at the local diner, Zippy’s, with my friends Jasmine and Leland, who are both from the Viterbi School as well. My friend Maya, who is also part of Break On 2, took me to a local club for some salsa dancing.

Some other highlights were swimming with Galapagos sharks, watching a hula dance show at the Polynesian Cultural Center, visiting Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona, and snorkeling at Hanauma Bay.

Now we’re all back on campus for another great semester ahead. It’s almost the end of the week and I’m starting to get into the swing of my class schedule. I have 3 engineering classes, 1 database class and 1 linguistics class to keep me busy as ever. Hope everyone had an enjoyable break and is ready to rock the new semester!!!
