Since this was a fairly boring week for me, I figure I might as well reminisce about the most amazing summer of my life. I had so many amazing experiences while I studied overseas, so I’ll have to break them up into a few posts.

Just to give some background on my trip, this past summer, I studied abroad in Paris, France for just under two months. I went through the Viterbi Summer Overseas Program with about 30 other engineers from all of the different engineering disciplines. We lived in the 11e arrondissement (Paris is divided into districts called “arrondissement”) right next to the Place de la Bastille, in a hotel with apartment-style rooms called Citadines. We  went to school at ACCENT International Consortium for Academic Programs Abroad, a 15 minute walk or 8 minute metro ride from Citadines. In Paris, I took two of the five classes offered, Writing and Thermodynamics, with four amazing USC professors that travelled with us to Paris.

We loved spending time in the city and spent our free time after class during the week exploring some of the amazing historical sights all over Paris.

Some of the sights we saw in Paris included:

  • The Eiffel Tower
  • The Louvre
  • Pere Lachaise Cemetary
  • Les Invalides
  • Jardin du Luxembourg
  • Colonne de Juliet
  • Sacre Coeur

…and so much more!

All in all, our time in Paris was AMAZING. Additionally, we had tons of awesome experiences outside of Paris, but I’ll save those for another time. Anyways, ’til next time,

Fight On!
