Hey Everyone,
I cannot believe that summer is right around the corner with only a few finals standing in my way. Right when the semester comes to a close, I will have the opportunity to go abroad to the Middle East, and work a technical internship back in Los Angeles. A fun and jam packed summer ahead of me, I am trying to find some time to relax too!
Right after my last final, I will be traveling to Israel with the USC iPodia program along with about 50 other USC students and students from China, South Korea, and India. Here we will immerse ourselves in the culture and travel to a few cities throughout Israel. Along the way we will also have projects to work on with the other international students and explore the history of the city. Some of the stops include the Dead Sea, Jerusalem, and Haifa! Having never been to the Middle East or Israel, it will a fantastic experience since I do not think I would have traveled here on my own accord. Not only that, but I will be with a group of USC students who I have grown close to and with whom I enjoy spending my time. We will be there for about 2 weeks upon which I will then return to Los Angeles to begin my internship with Northrop Grumman!
I will be working with the Northrop Grumman Corporation this summer, but plan on living near USC so I can still meet up with friends who are working at other aerospace companies such as Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and SAIC. I cannot wait to hear of their experiences working with these other companies so we can all collectively see which company fits each person. One event I am excited for is the annual aerospace games where interns from SpaceX, Boeing, Raytheon, and Northrop Grumman all compete on the southern California beaches in relay races, sports, and other activities. As much as I do like my friends who are interning elsewhere, I am competitive. And we will not lose.
Once this internship comes to a close, I hope to visit the family and perhaps do a bit of camping and traveling in my spare time!! It is always nice to take a break once in awhile and visit the family to make sure everything is going well!
Fight On!
