One benefit of USC being located in Southern California is that many trips are just a few hours drive. Joshua Tree National Park and Big Bear Lake, two popular destinations for USC students, are around two hours away. Sometimes a change in scenery is all you need to clear your mind from a tough semester. That being said, since classes are online this semester, you are able to take them from anywhere that has internet connection! My roommates and I decided to make a trip down to San Diego because we needed to clear our minds. San Diego is filled with nature which is why it is a prime getaway destination.

We were able to do all things permitting during these times, which included trips to the beach and golfing with my roommates. San Diego beaches are also some of the nicest that I have seen with cliffside views. Golfing has been a big part of quarantine for my apartment because it is a way to get out the house. Though I am not that good since I have never golfed before this year, I am getting better and am on the way to becoming a pro!
