I realized it is already the end of the fourth week of school when my professors started mentioning the dates of our first midterms. I was eager to start school during summer but I don’t think I like the fast pace the semester seems to be taking, 1/8th of my junior year is already over.
I am now past the midway line of my undergraduate college life so I decided to reflect on how far I have come since freshman year. The biggest noticeable difference between now and then is that unlike my first day of freshman year, I now know what I want to do with my life. I remember being really worried coming into college not knowing what I want to do with my life, but looking back on it now, I am somehow glad I didn’t have my life figured out because that confusion was my strongest drive to explore all the options I had with an open mind. Now that I have figured out what I want my future to be, it’s time to look beyond the last day of senior year and start looking for my place in the world outside of USC, hence, the job search!
My current plan is to find an internship that is somehow different from the one I had this past summer. The goal being exploring the different career paths I can take before graduation, I don’t know if I am at a good position to make this happen, only time will tell.
