So, apparently it’s my senior year… What?! Where did the time go? I don’t think I’m ready to admit that I’m graduating soon. Thankfully, I have a pretty solid bucket list for my last couple semesters here, so I hope to finish this year.

This semester is going to be pretty exciting. I have quite a busy senior year schedule with some difficult classes (Heat Transfer and Reactors, just to name a few), so I think it will be a productive Fall. Heat Transfer, which is a fairly integral class to Chemical Engineering, has been interesting so far and I’m excited to learn a lot. Though Reactors is typically a junior-level class, I am taking it this semester because I was abroad last Fall. I also have a class about Nanotechnology (which is really about intermolecular forces) and my lab class for Chemical Engineering. Overall, my classes are going to be pretty cool!

Also, I am continuing work in Dr. Robert’s mRNA display laboratory during the semester for research credits. I’m excited because I am working on a possible anti-cancer drug by developing protease-resistant peptide ligands. It is going to be a very exciting project, and I began working on it this week. I am required to be in the lab for at least 6 hours a week for credit, but I’ll definitely be there more since I have a lot of work to complete!

And of course, I can’t forget football season! My girlfriend and I went to the game this weekend and had a lot of fun beating the Bulldogs! Can’t have a proper Fall at USC without a cool football picture!

Fighting on!
