This weekend, I went on an adventurous hike in the Santa Monica Mountains and went to Urth Café for mint boba and artisanal pizzas. Trust me, this is as LA as it gets.
But before I jump into that, I’m sure you’ve seen some posts about Viterbi Ball. I had an amazing time, and it was great going with my other student ambassador friends! This is my favorite event of the year, and this was my fourth year going. Lyssa and I went together during our freshman year, back when we both had ridiculously long hair. Throwback to when we were taking our Introduction to Chemical Engineering and Numerical Methods of Chemical Engineering classes!
On Saturday, my girlfriend and I decided to wake up early for an adventure so that we would be motivated to do homework for the rest of the day! We headed to Coldwater Canyon with some friends, and hiked through the trails there. It was an awesome location, with beautiful views of Los Angeles. Out of the other hikes that I have explored, this was medium (in terms of difficulty) but it was definitely a great adventure.
Afterwards, we went to Urth, since both of our friends are vegan and wanted some healthy options. This place is bomb, and is the classic LA spot for your coffee fix and food cravings. I always get the butternut squash and ricotta pizza, but my friends got the paninis and wraps which were also great. I love this place, and I will miss it so much this summer!
So where will I be this summer? I am excited to say that I am working as a consulting intern for PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City! I feel like a summer in NYC is the dream, and I am glad I have the opportunity to experience it! I don’t know about my project or sector yet, but stay tuned for more info.
