So you’ve had a long week, packed with midterms, projects and student org events, and now all you want to do is chill out and watch a movie while you stuff your face with pizza. Well, you are in luck, here is my compiled list of the best places to get pizza around campus. Pizza is, after all, a staple food in any college kids diet. Even for the healthier student population – a thin crust veggie pizza with gluten-free crust and low fat cheese.
Garage Pizza
My favorite pizza place, hands down. Not only is the pizza delicious, New York style, but they also deliver until 4 am. So for the late night studying session at the SAL computer lab, garage pizza is the go to place. It’s a little more on the expensive side, but definitely worth it in my opinion.
Amante Pizza & Pasta
Also delivers as late as 4 am, however the prices are significantly higher than Garage Pizza. Delivery time is a little faster due to less popularity. The specialty gourmet pizzas include The Philly Steak, Ameatza (all meat, yum!) and Zucchini Primavera, just to name a few. If you want to spend the extra buck and get one of the specialty pizzas, you will not be disappointed! My recommendation is the Prosciutto Italiano.
Pizza Studio
Just a hop and a skip off campus, Pizza Studio is a great place to hang out with your friends on the weekend or even grab a quick bite in between classes. The only one of its kind, Pizza Studio is a “make your own” pizza place! You choose everything from the crust, sauce and cheese to the spices, meats and toppings. Each pizza is personal and so very affordable – get unlimited toppings for a flat rate! Unfortunately no delivery here, but you can order online and pick up! If you are craving pizza but don’t want all the calories, they have plenty of vegetables (some roasted) and a whole grain + flax seed crust option.
Pasta Roma
Best. Garlic Knots. Ever. Many student organizations get Pasta Roma to cater events – I have had it at Center for Engineering and Diversity (CED) study nights, SWE general meetings and CMAA SPARKS meetings as well. Good pizza selection, New York style, and very good pasta and salad options as well. Delivery is free within a mile and a half radius. I would definitely recommend Pasta Roma for large events because it is within any budget!
