This year for Halloween, my friends and I decided to go to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights for a night outside of campus. With mazes in every corner of the park and actors running amok, it was a fun, adrenaline filled night. My favorite maze we went to was the one based off of Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House since I watched the series when it first came out. We were screaming around each turn of the maze either from jump-scares or of excitement from recognizing a scene.

If Universal Studios isn’t your ideal Halloween, there’s still a ton of fun Halloween options in LA that are outside of campus!

  • Other Theme Parks:
    • If you like theme parks, but Universal isn’t a good fit for you, try Disneyland, Knott’s Scary Farm, or Fright Fest.
  • Pumpkin Patches:
    • There are tons of pumpkin patches around the LA area that you and your friends can make a day out of! Start the day off with finding the perfect pumpkin and finish it with a Halloween movie and making jack-o’-lanterns!
  • Hayrides:
    • Places like Griffith Park will offer Halloween Hayrides which is a fun way to go to a classic LA location with a fun Halloween twist.

Have a fun Halloween!
