I love October and Halloween and I’ve been to Knott’s Scary Farm and Universal Horror nights for years, but this year I had the opportunity to switch it up and visit the LA Halloween Hayride in Griffith park with my sorority this year!
The Halloween Hayride is set up in the hills near Griffith Observatory, and you get to ride on a trailer filled with hay through scenes of horror. There are crows and clowns and monsters and snakes and spiders and all sorts of creatures that chase your tractor and try and scare you as you go through. The scenes were unreal and so theatrical and well done. There was also a ghost horse scary go round, a pumpkin carving station, and my favorite was a walk through maze. Your small group got only one small lantern to find your way through a maze full of scary monsters and other things. It was actually really challenging to find your way out!
The LA Hayride is a part of Los Angeles and a really cool event. Halloween is a time there are all sorts of cool events going on around the city, and it is awesome to be able to take advantage of all of these opportunities!
