I can’t believe I am back at USC for my sophomore year. It feels like just yesterday I was moving into Birnkrant for freshman year.
The past few weeks in LA have been super exciting and busy! I have spent a lot of time with my sorority for Formal Recruitment. It was a long couple weeks of recruitment, but worth it. I now have 70 new amazing sisters. In fact, one of my new sisters is actually a BME I hosted for Explore USC last spring. I was so excited to see her run to our house on Bid Night.
Beyond recruitment, I have been busy with classes. I am taking five classes this year, and so far I love them all. All of my professors are amazing and really interested in making sure I understand the material. I am taking a statistics class, a computer science class, a general education class, honors physics, and my favorite, a web publishing class through the information technology program. After my internship re-launching a website this past summer, I am so excited to really understand how to create a website from scratch. I learned a lot over the summer, but I didn’t get a chance to learn some of the basics which I will get to now. I am also excited to have my own website by the end of the semester. Stay tuned to see how it turns out!
Lastly, I am so happy for football season to be back! It’s by far the best season of them all at USC, but I may be a little biased considering I have been watching Trojan football my entire life. Win or lose though(preferably win), home gamedays at USC are some of the best days of the fall semester. The amount of spirit and number of members of the Trojan Family on campus is astounding. It makes me fall in love with USC more than I already am. I can’t wait for the rest of the football season and the amount of Trojan pride that surrounds campus with each game.
Overall, I am thrilled to see how this semester turns out, both in the classroom and on the football field!
