Hope everyone is having a great summer and enjoying the beauty of no tests and homework.
This summer I decided to stick around LA and intern in downtown as a technology consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
At the beginning of the internship, we arrived in Orlando for a three day long training with all of the advisory interns across the US, over 650 of us! In addition to all of the training we got each day, we had fun team building competitions (it got really competitive!) and we got to bond each night at dinner as we watched the Stanley Cup Finals, NBA Finals, and Women’s World Cup. The last day we had a case competition, my first ever, but luckily I was on a team full of Trojans to help me out. While I was there, I also ran into fellow VSAs, Juliana, Jordan, and Makana, who are all interning for PwC this summer too!
After all the fun at training, it was time to get some work done. The next week was my first week working for my client at their office. My client this summer is an automotive client not too far from USC and the downtown office, and our team, full of Trojans, is working on a technology transformation project for them. Unfortunately, I can’t say much more about what I am doing, but it’s really fun and I’m learning a lot, which makes that 7AM alarm worth it.
Our internship wraps up in about two weeks, but I have enjoyed every moment of it: our community service day at the LA Food Bank, bowling with my client team, dinners in downtown, Disneyland for the day, a Dodger’s game, getting to know all the amazing people at PwC, and becoming great friends with all of my fellow interns. Not to mention, living in LA over the summer is fun in and of itself. I’m excited for school to start up (well, mostly for football season to start up again), but I’m definitely going to miss the PwC Family I’ve met this summer.
