I’m happy to say midterms just wrapped up for me last week! Yay! But as they were going on the past two weeks, you could find me each day at my favorite study spot at USC, my sorority’s porch.
In the front of our house we have a long, beautiful porch complete with a desk and chairs as well as a porch swing. I love studying on the porch because it has a beautiful view and it’s where I live, so I don’t have to go too far. I tend to study where I live because I don’t have to bring my stuff with me somewhere, and I can take a rest or snack break and run up to my room whenever I need. The porch is also a great place for studying because I can have people come over and we can study as a group there for as long as we need. Lastly, it provides a great place to study outdoors on those rare rainy afternoons because it’s covered. In fact, it’s sometimes even prettier on those rainier days.
When I am not studying out on the porch, or it gets too cold (well, Southern California cold), I tend to move indoors to my room or the “den” at my sorority house. Both are still great places to study and, for the majority of the time, very quiet.
Until next week,
