As a senior, it’s my crunch time for the job search. With the Career Fairs, Career Expos, Career Conferences, and Networking Nights behind me, I’ve only got the hardest part ahead: applying! Of course, for a lot of companies, making a good impression at a Career Fair is all you need to get your foot in the door. And plus, many companies offer on-campus interviews. Before you know it, you’re on your way to being hired.
Two weeks ago, I was lucky enough to land first and second round interviews with Moog, Inc. They design and manufacture actuators, hydraulic valves, and flight control systems, but the technology is applicable to other fields besides aerospace, including medicine and industrial machinery. My second round interview was held at Moog’s East Aurora, NY headquarters, and it was such an amazing experience! They flew me and the other candidates there from all across the country, and we took part in over 10 interviews each. We also traveled everywhere in a party bus, including to our guided tour of Niagara Falls!

The Moog party bus! It was great way to get to know the other candidates as we traveled to and from the facilities.
Also, having so many interviews in such a short time span (we were there for two days) helped me fine-tune my own interview skills. We also got pretty luxurious accommodations, like hotel rooms with Jacuzzi’s!
I’m still waiting to hear back from Moog, but I’ll definitely be posting if I end up accepting an offer. Meanwhile, more interviews and more applications!
