Thursday is a long day. I’ve got materials science at 8am, and lab until 8pm. I also have a total of 5 hours of physics, between my 2 hour lecture and 3 hour lab. By the time 9 o’clock rolls around I’m ready to have some fun with friends and laugh really loudly.

Hence, my love affair with The Office. The characters are so ridiculous but consistent, and the writing is absolutely brilliant. Dwight’s speech tonight was PHENOMENAL. Next week is Jim and Pam’s wedding, which I’m sure will live up to expectations. It is, in all respects, a great show. The weekly occurrence of The Office is also a way to ensure that you see people you might not ordinarily get a chance to catch up with. Every Thursday at 8, friends from Webb Tower, where I live, have dessert together in my friends’ apartment. We hang out for an hour, getting to know each other more, ranting about midterms, discussing the Spielberg class a couple friends are taking, and determining which general education classes are the best. Then we all head down to the lobby to catch the latest installment of adventures with Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton team.

Homework is just easier to tackle after an evening like that!
