Hey everyone! I’d like to fill you in on the rest of my summer and share with you some of my thoughts on returning to USC in a week!

Switzerland with my dad was a blast! We took a train through the Eiger Mountain and to the Jungfraujoch, the highest peak you can reach in all of Europe by train. We also spent a couple days in Zermatt, where we took a cable car up and climbed almost all the way to the base of the Matterhorn! Hopefully I can go back during ski season sometime.

I ended my trip with a relaxing week in Maine. I went lobster fishing, did some shopping, ate a couple of Dunkin’ donuts, and of course, spent time with my family and friends. It was really peaceful, especially after my busy summer traveling!

Since arriving home a couple weeks ago, I’ve been seeing some of my high school friends and reactivating my respiratory equipment research at Children’s Hospital. Last week, I went to CHLA to meet with the nurse I am working with as well as one of my ISE professors from last semester. We are all very excited to continue with the project.

I’m really looking forward to getting back to USC in about a week. I’ve signed up to do a couple of Helenes events, including welcoming freshmen to the campus with Spirit bags, and attending the new John McKay Athletic Center Dedication Ceremony. It’s going to be great to get back into the swing of things at school. I can’t wait to see my roommates (shout-out to Kaity!) and friends, and reconnect with all my new travel buddies from the Viterbi Overseas Program.

This coming semester I am enrolled in 5 ISE courses and a tennis course. I’ll finalize my schedule during the first couple weeks of school. I’ve had a couple of the same professors before, and I’m really looking forward to having them again.

And football season is just around the corner! Can’t wait for the first home game against Hawaii! September 1st! See you in the Coliseum! Fight On!
