Hey everyone! I hope you all had an amazing week! There is nothing like starting off your week after a big football win over Stanford on Saturday! Speaking of sports, I also attended the opening game for the Men’s Trojan Basketball Team last Tuesday against California State, Northridge. It was very exciting and surprisingly my first outing to a basketball game at USC!

Before the game began, my sorority attended a dinner held at a fraternity. They had delicious tacos, burritos, and other yummy Mexican treats. After eating and socializing, we all gathered to walk over to the game together. When we got to the Galen Center, the stands were already packed! We squeezed into the student section just in time for the tip off. I noticed a new addition to the cheering section, two life size mascots: Tommy Trojan and Traveler. Everyone was snapping pictures with them and having a great time!

After the first time out, the Trojan Dance Force performed a dance number. They were all so spirited and ready to go. My best friend, Jenn, is on the team, and I loved watching her kill it! There were also performances from the Song Girls and Spirit Leaders that added to the excitement. There is always so much support among different programs at USC which just adds to why I love it here!

As the game continued, we took the lead. It was fun watching our team work so hard. My favorite part of this whole experience was sitting with all of the other students. We made a sea of cardinal and gold, fighting on after every point. In the end, we pulled out the win with a score of 95 – 79. It was such a fun night to be a Trojan! I cannot wait to attend more basketball games this season!

Fight On!
