Hey guys! Hope you had a great summer! I am so happy to be back in action at USC for another amazing semester. Classes have only been in session for two weeks and I have already started making irreplaceable memories. I thought I’d give you a little sneak peak at two of my favorite events that have happened so far, Bid Night and the Fall Sports Rally!
1. BID NIGHT!
To start off the new year, my sorority Pi Beta Phi had bid night where I got to meet all the new members! Before they arrived at the house, all the active members and I were standing outside holding their arrow signs anxious to see them run down the row. There was so much excitement in the air and I could not wait to spend the night with these girls. When they finally arrived, I was holding my friend’s arrow sign and was so happy to be the first to welcome her into our family! Her positive energy made me ecstatic for the celebrations ahead. I gave her a halo wreath, angel wings, and a bid night shirt to get the festivities started. To make the night even better, Pi Phi’s event committee ordered an Umami Burger truck, a pink candy bar, and a light up dance floor. After all, what’s more fun than having an all-girl dance party to Miley Cyrus and Spice Girls? Dancing around with these amazing new girls made me even more anxious for what this year has in store for us!
2. FALL SPORTS RALLY
Another fun event I went to last week was the Fall Sports Rally to cheer on our NCAA athletic teams! My roommate and best friend, Jenn, is on the Trojan Dance Force Team and I could not wait to see her perform. When we first arrived at the Galen Center, they had music playing and a DJ getting everyone pumped up. Then one by one each team came out and passed out freebies including t-shirts and visors. We even got some free pizza! Yum! Finally, the Song Girls and Trojan Dance Force took the floor and had such high energy. I really enjoyed their performances and was so glad to get to see Jenn in her element. The rally reminded how much I love the Trojan Family and sparked my enthusiasm for the sporting events to come! Fight on!
Well those were just two of the many memories to come this year! I hope you all have an amazing fall semester! Fight on!
