Hi everyone! I cannot believe that the last week of classes for this semester are over. Final exams are all that stand between the summer and me. I cannot wait to spend some time with my family and finalize my summer internship plans in the next couple of weeks. I’ll tell you about some of my favorite memories from this semester and what summer has in store for me.
This semester was a big transition for me. It was the first semester I took classes as an Industrial and Systems Engineering major, which was a change of pace. I started taking classes more characteristic for a business major including ACCT 410 and Econ 203. It was a nice change up and made me think in a different way than what I was used to. I also took my first ISE class involving probability and statistics in engineering. I look forward to next semester when I will be taking four ISE classes and really learn what it’s all about!
Since two of my roommates moved into the sorority house this semester, my roommate and I got two new randomly assigned roommates to fill their places. We were so lucky to have Bronty and Kimmay move in with us. They are amazing girls from Canada and Thailand. It has been fun learning more about their cultures and building new friendships.
Another highlight of this semester was attending fun music events on and off campus. As I previously blogged about, the Macklemore concert downtown was a blast! It was the same week of the Grammy’s, and he was so excited to have such supportive and enthusiastic fans. On campus, I also attended USC Springfest a couple of weeks ago. Nothing beats dancing on stage with Tyga and Diplo!
A great part of this semester were the friends I got to spend it with. We did so many fun activities together from Hollywood hikes to social events to philanthropy. Just last weekend, my girlfriends and I took a trip to Anaheim to go to Disneyland. We had a blast celebrating Phoebe’s birthday with Mickey and his friends!
After such a great semester, I am just now finalizing my summer plans in terms of internships. I will be working downtown for a tech company or startup. A fun part of this summer is the family vacation my dad has planned. We are taking a cruise out of the port at Fort Lauderdale, Florida to places including Jamaica and Grand Cayman. I can’t wait! Have a great summer and fight on!
