As we enter the last week of classes, assignments and clubs are starting to wrap up as finals approach–which ultimately means that  a motley of exciting activities happened this week!

My group just finished our final analysis on a start up technology Oracle Intraocular Prosthesisn for one of my favorite classes–BUAD 301: Technical Entrepreneurship.  We got to conduct face to face interviews and meet a lot of new people in the biomedical field who are heavily involved in discovering new techniques to help the lives a hundreds of people suffering from common diseases.  It was really interesting to study the industry and the process of developing a new product and putting it on the market.

Outside of class, I had my executive board transition dinner for the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) yesterday at Traditions on campus.  It’s been a great year for our organization, so it was nice to catch up one last time with the graduating seniors.

Lastly, I had an extremely nice  evening this past week was the 36th Annual Viterbi Awards at the Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.  A few professors were honored and the winners of a start up competition were announced.  The food was absolutely delicious and it was a lot of fun to dress up and attend a well planned event with my classmates and close friends.
