Through different organizations and branches of USC, famous speakers are always coming to USC to create a conversation or share their ideas.
Presidential Speakers Series: USC has a long term tradition of inviting past or sitting presidents to the University to speak to students on their experiences and their current projects. This past year, Former President Bill Clinton came and spoke in Bovard Auditorium about the Clinton foundation. Students were invited to come listen to him speak.
USC Speakers Committee: The USC Speakers Committee is a branch of USC Program Board who’s main focus is to bring speakers on to campus to provide students with thought-provoking, inspirational, and culturally enlightening events. Past Speakers include Barack Obama, Seth Meyers, Oliver Stone, Dr. Drew, Natalie Portman, Maya Angelou and Stan Lee (pictured to the left). These events are open to all USC students and often include photo ops with the speakers!
LAVALAB Dinner Series: LAVALAB, an organization on campus dedicated to helping students pursue their entrepreneurial ideas, brings speakers on to campus for a dinner series Q & A. One of the most popular speakers that came to this dinner series included the famous creator and CEO of Space X and Tesla Motors. The dinner series is open to LAVALAB members, but anyone can become a member!
Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies: The Lloyd Greif Center for Entrepreneurial Studies is a center under the Marshall School of Business which brings various speakers on to campus to speak to USC students about different entrepreneurial ventures. Billionaire Mark Cuban recently came to speak in Bovard Auditorium about his ventures, failures and successes and also took pitches from students on stage. Other speakers have included David Belasco, Landon Donovan, and Will Ferrell! All students are welcome to these events.
