Hey everyone!

I recently got back from a very restful winter break back home in Dallas. I enjoyed quality time celebrating the holiday season with my family over some delicious home cooked meals and constant laughs. I even got a chance to show one of my CED Circles mentees around Dallas, while she was in town. All in all it was just what I needed before starting this spring semester back at USC.

This semester I am taking Water Resources Engineering, General Biology, Air Pollution Fundamentals, Water Chemistry, and Design of Open Channel Hydraulic Systems. It is a grand total of four upper-division engineering classes so this semester is sure to be a challenging one. I am excited to take my first Air Pollution class since I was just informed that I will be interning as an environmental consultant at Ramboll-Environ in the Air Pollution department this summer!

But school is not all work and no play! The first weekend back to LA I took a trip to Palm Springs to visit my family. We enjoyed a hike in the Indian Canyons, as well as exploring the beautiful town that is Palm Springs. It was a nice getaway to help me mentally prepare for the semester ahead.

I am excited to continue my involvement in SHPE as the Director of Academic Development, while also being the ExploreUSC Host Team coordinator! ExploreUSC is a program where prospective students have the opportunity to spend a day or night at USC with a real USC student, in a real USC dorm! I am overjoyed to be given the opportunity to recruit the next Viterbi Engineering class!

This semester is already shaping up to be an eventful one, keep an eye out for more updates!

Fight on!
