SO MUCH FUN, SO LITTLE TIME.
As a Junior, who already accepted my summer job offer, I decided it was time to stress less and enjoy college a bit more. I have been managing my time more efficiently so that I am not doing homework after 6 pm. This newfound focus has given me more time to keep up with my friends as well as explore the city. I also decided sleep was overrated (unless I get sick). There are plenty of hours in the day to get everything done and fit in some fun too. 🙂
This week, I went to watch the women’s volleyball team crush UCLA in 4 games AND got some free Shady Peeps and free pizza at the game. After the game, I gathered up my country lovin friends and dragged them to a line dancing bar called In Cahoots. What a fun night… and it was only Wednesday!
Thursday night, my friend and I went to see the Randy Rogers Band concert in West Hollywood at an intimate little venue. It was exciting to get off campus and to see a favorite band up close, plus I’m pretty sure the base player winked at me. After a quick hello at a friend’s 21st birthday, I was off to bed. The weekend hadn’t even started yet.
Friday I spent at work and getting all of my homework done, just in time for a fun evening at a fraternity invite. We went to dinner at a chic little place downtown and danced the night away near at a swanky venue just off La Cienega.
Then came GAME DAY against Cal! Waking up early to put on game day attire, tailgating across campus, racing to get into Trojan Nation, standing on the chairs, cheering until you have no voice, waiting patiently for the sun to go behind the scoreboard, and getting Trojan Marching Band songs stuck in your head for days… oh the signs of game day.
The weekend came to a close all too soon and hopefully this week is just as exciting. My course load is still pretty light and midterms don’t start until next week. Wooo Hoo!
