As a part of the USC Program Board Special Events Committee, I helped out with an event this past Saturday called the Extreme USC Challenge.  It was an awesome competition with 10 different teams of 4 players, performing crazy stunts and challenges in order to win gift cards, Google headphones, music festival tickets, flight vouchers, and the grand prize of the Samsung Galaxy Note Tablet.

The team challenges were pretty gross, but super entertaining to watch.  Teams had to transport sardines with their mouth to a bowl at the other side of the field, they had to eat onions, wasabi sauce, and pudding from a diaper. They had to dunk their heads in slime and transport it to another container using a cup attached to their head.  The last challenge was dunking for gummy worms in a pool full of slime!  The teams were in it to win it!  No one backed out of the challenges and they all performed to as best they could.

The team with the winning points went on to the semi-final and final rounds and the four team members competed against each other for the grand prizes.  The semi-final round consisted of the teams eating a mixture of mayo, anchovy oil, spicy Cheetos, bell peppers, and a few other really nasty things.  The struggle was real.  One person couldn’t finish the mixture, so she got 4th place.  After that, the remaining three contestants went onto the final round, which was The Wormtini – eating 20 mealworms from a martini glass.  That was insane to watch, but so entertaining!  The person who ate it the fastest won the grand prize of the Samsung Galaxy Note Tablet!

Special Events Committee (SEC) is so awesome – it puts on the most amazing events that are so out of the box.  Aside from this event, SEC hosts comedy shows, movie screenings, famous speakers, and more!  It truly is a cool organization and I’m happy to be a part of it!

Until next time!
