I lived at Parkside Arts and Humanities in the Suite-style dorms. My 7 roommates and I had 4 rooms (2 people per room) and 2 bathrooms (4 people per bathroom.) Even though we had our own private bathrooms, a USC staff member would come clean it once a week which was awesome. There are many options when it comes to USC Housing and I don’t think there’s really a right or a wrong choice. Each type of housing can be a great experience. While I found it easy to make many friends through the suite-style arrangement, typically you can meet more people in a dorm-style living which can be more interesting for your freshman year. I ended up getting super close with my suite mates, and got to learn about their different backgrounds and majors. The majority of them where actually international and during our Spring Break and Summer I got to visit their hometowns in Panama, Costa Rica, and Mexico.
