Last week was one of the most stressful weeks I’ve had since school started. Everyones had those days where they just want to get away. So I decided I was going to go up to my Lake House in Lake Arrowhead (Lake Arrowhead is 1.5 hours away from campus). That was the best decision I have made so far.
I drove up to Arrowhead after my senior portrait saturday morning and got up there around 12:30pm. I then got lunch at my favorite place called Jensens market (they have the best sandwiches). After lunch, I went to the thrift store right next to Jensens and got two pairs of high-waisted old “mom-pants” . From there I went home, watched NCIS and cut the pants to make high-waisted shorts. Crafting always makes me relax.
After a couple hours of my arts and crafts time I decided to cook dinner (I have enjoyed cooking since I was young) I decided to go on my Pinterist and figure out which recipe I was going use for my tacos. I soon decided I was going to bake my tacos and it turned out extremely well. After dinner I watched more TV and went to bed.
In the morning I slept in, which was so amazing because I never get to sleep in during the week. I then got up and did a lot of my homework while on the hammock on my porch. The weather was beautiful and it was so nice to just get out and relax.
I really needed that break and I am glad I drove up there.
One thing everyone needs to have when they get to college is a place they can go to where they can just relax. I know mine. Do you know yours?
If so I would love to hear it! Just comment on my post!
I hope you have a great week.
