Hola! I’ve been back in the States for a little over 3 months now and I think I’m finally back in the American groove of things. The best thing about the Viterbi Overseas Program is that even though #ViterbiAbroad is technically over, I still get to see the Abroad Squad on campus and in all of my classes! At USC, since everyone is pretty busy it can get hard to connect with your friends, so it’s awesome that I get to see them in class and through student organizations!

Last week, I had a Fluid Mechanics exam so instead of studying alone, my friend, Wes (Civil Engineering), and I studied together at my sorority house. Honestly, we ended up just talking about abroad and not being productive whatsoever, but it was nice to catch up (and get a little bit of studying done at the same time)! While I do know a lot of people in my major, it’s nice to have someone outside of my major to study with because other majors have different perspectives!

Now this week I have a research project to work in my Water Quality Control class on Water Reclamation and Reuse in LA County that I’m working on with two other people and one of them is Jill, who I met abroad! Jill is studying Chemical Engineering with an Environmental Emphasis so she’s taking the class for her emphasis. I love hanging out with the Abroad Squad so this project should be fun!

DiscoverUSC is coming up which means ViterbiEXPO is coming up! I’ve been planning with the student organizations to make sure they have everything they need when they table at the expo, which isĀ another way for me to see the rest of the #squad! Check out my Insta (@briajamison) to keep up with my post-abroad adventures!!
