After spending 4 long weeks in Bakersfield post-Madrid, I am ready to dive head first into this semester! I moved in to the Gamma Phi Beta chapter house a few weeks ago and have been crazy busy ever since! With student orgs, classes, and sorority recruitment all happening at once, it’s been a crazy few weeks! Nevertheless, I am still so excited for my junior year!

One of the things I’m most excited about is reconnecting with my #ViterbiAbroad homies. I already ran into many of them in my classes and on the first day of class, some of us met up in the campus center for coffee. Reconnecting and catching up on the rest of our summers as well as discussing our plans for the semester is nice. We keep joking about having a #ViterbiAbroad reunion some day in Madrid again!

I’m also super excited for game day!! Gamma Phi just welcomed 70 new members into our chapter, so I can’t wait to share the USC traditions with all of them. From Game Day to Family Weekend to Presents, there is so much going on in the fall semester. As Panhellenic Affairs Vice President, I plan all of our events with other sororities and I’m excited to start intramural tournaments and ice cream socials with our 2 sister sororities this semester!

Gamma Phi Bid Day!
As far as classes go, I have a pretty light load this semester, so I’m considering getting into research or taking on a part-time internship to fill my time with a more hands-on activity. On the other hand, I’m also thinking about adding a class for fun. Maybe something in the school of cinema or the school of theater? I haven’t quite decided yet but I have a couple weeks to add/change my classes before they’re finalized so there’s no pressure.
I have a feeling this semester is going to be the best one yet, and I can’t wait! To keep up with my adventures, follow me on insta (@jamisonbria)! Also, check out the #ViterbiSummer podcasts because I’m going to be featured on one soon talking about #ViterbiAbroad!
