Hi everyone!

Today I wanted to talk about my favorite classes I have taken so far at SC. It is super awesome to be able to mix in some interesting 1-2 unit classes along with my engineering courses.

So far my favorite classes have been physical conditioning, yoga, and computer-aided design for bio-mechanical design.

Physical conditioning was a class I took last semester that met twice a week and was 2 units. We started off the semester pretty laid back by running a couple of laps around the track and doing a few circuit exercises. As the semester progressed, the workouts became much more intense and really got my blood pumping. It was nice to have a set time every week put aside for working out because with engineering, it is sometimes difficult to make time for stuff other than studying and going to chipotle.

Yoga is a class I am auditing this semester, which basically means that I do not have to show up if I don’t want to. It is on friday mornings and it an amazing way to relax after a long week. I really love the instructor and the way she teaches, and my roommate is taking the class as well!

Computer-adied design for bio-mechanical design is a class I am also taking this semester. We are learning Solidworks, a 3D design software. It has been a lot of fun and it is awesome to see how much you can learn in just one class period!

Overall, my classes at SC have been great, but I think it is important to add in those “fun” classes with general chemistry and physics to have a well rounded schedule.
