The week leading up to my spring break was fun, but stressful.  I had three midterms that week, but my friends from highschool came to visit while on their spring break.  It was so great to have them visit and they had a lot of fun!  It was their first time to California and they wanted to get the entire LA experience.  Their first day here we went to Jack N Joe’s for breakfast and then I gave them a tour of campus. We went to The Natural History Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art.  We also went to Beverly Hills for Sprinkles cupcakes.   Thursday was a really nice day so we went to Huntington beach to lay out and go shopping.  Later that night we went to The Laugh Factory on Sunset Boulevard for stand up comedy and saw Tim Allen! Friday was the best because I also took them to Disneyland.  We ended up getting a one day two park pass so we got to go to California Adventure as well.  My friend said going to Disneyland was the best day of her life.  I think they enjoyed their trip.

For my spring break my boyfriend flew out for the week.  On Sunday, we went with my friend Cassandra to visit our friend Anjali who lives in Santa Barbara.  We went to the Wharf for lunch and Anjali took us to the Natural History Museum and the Mission.  I really liked Santa Barbara and am looking forward to going back over winter break.  On Wednesday my boyfriend and I went to Long Beach. We walked around the main street and got lunch, and then after went to the beach.  On Thursday we had date night at Hermosa Beach and ate dinner at this restaurant that overlooked the water.  The view of the sunset was beautiful.  I guess this thing called March Madness started that week, so in between visiting beaches and visiting my family, I also spent a lot of my spring break watching basketball games.

The best part of my spring break though was getting an offer from Accenture to be apart of their Accenture Student Empowerment Program.  This is a two year program especially for sophomores that includes a mentorship with a current employee and the possibility of a summer internship.  I was extra excited because I also got an offer for a summer internship back home in Denver, CO.  I haven’t found out what project I will be working as they are still finalizing the details, but there will be another intern working on the same project as I am.  I’m looking forward to this summer and can’t wait to start my internship at Accenture.
