Hey everyone!
So far, 2014 has been a blast. I went to India for winter break and got to ring in the New Year with some of my closest friends. It was really nice (and kind of weird) spending the holidays in 90 degree weather!
I think Spring 2014 is bound to be a pretty great semester. I’m taking my first ever Economics class, a two-unit called Economic Foundations for Business. I think it’s important to understand the basics of how money works and I’m excited for the opportunity to learn! I’m also taking another two-unit class entitled Biomedical Engineering Practices, where professors and professionals from the many fields of BME come and lecture about what they do.
Another class I’m particularly excited about is iPodia, or Principles and Practices of Global Innovations, where we get to telecommunicate with students all over the world to work on various projects. As the final part of the course, we will go to Israel for two weeks at the end of the school year!
Work is also getting started for planning the Southern California Indo American annual Culture Show, for which I am on the planning committee. We are in the process of acquiring sponsors, planning decorations, and working out the overall logistics of the event. I know it’ll all come together wonderfully for our show in April!
This semester looks so promising; I can’t wait to see how it’ll turn out!
