LA Live is the home to Regal Cinemas, the Staples Center, Nokia Theatre, and plenty of great restaurants. It’s one of my favorite places to go when I want to get off campus. The great thing is that USC offers a free tram to and from LA Live on Fridays and Saturdays. Two weeks ago I saw The King’s Speech at Regal. The movie was about King George VI and the speech therapist who helped him gain the confidence to embrace his role as king. My mom had wanted to see the movie during winter break but I thought it sounded pretty boring. I was totally wrong. Colin Firth plays King George VI and Helena Bonham Carter (played Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter) was Queen Elizabeth. They both did a fantastic job. I’ve always been a Colin Firth fan but I was extra impressed with his performance in this film. Rotten Tomatoes rated the film at 95% and I totally agree. I would definitely recommend you go check out The King’s Speech. Has anyone seen any other good movies lately?
