Hey y’all! We’re back at school for the Spring semester, and my last semester as an undergrad at SC! It’s crazy to think how fast the past 3 1/2 years have flown by, but I like to think that I’ve been able to gain some good insights. So in this blog I’m going to tell some of the best ways to take advantage of your winter break.

Visit friends – As a truly global university, you’re going to make friends from every part of the country and the world. Take some time out of your 3 1/2 week break to go visit some of them in a place you’ve never been, or go travel somewhere new with them! This past break I went to New Orleans with some of my friends I met freshman year and it was a blast.

Take a road trip – Depending on where you’re from, get in your car with your siblings or friends from home and go discover something new about your hometown. Being from Arizona I’m lucky enough to not have to deal with the snow, so I’ve been able to road trip to some awesome places like Flagstaff and Sedona during past breaks.

Binge – Food, Netflix, sleep, you name it. Having a chunk of time with essentially no responsibilities is something very hard to come by during your 4 years in college, so take full advantage of it and refuse to feel guilty.

Spend time with your parents – They miss you, you miss them (even though you might not admit it) and you can never get enough home cooking.

RELAX – Like I said, you have ~25 days where the hardest thing you’ll have to do is take out the garbage, so take some well deserved me-time and chill out. Don’t feel obliged to do a lot and run around everyday, just take it easy before you get back to the craziness that is college.
