Now, to business. This year is the first year that I am not living in USC housing. Crazy, right? I am currently living in a house off of 29th Street, with friends I made through the Environmental Core. Our house is endearingly called The Mantle (get it, because the MANTLE encompasses the CORE so like it houses us good pun right).
The house is super nice! There are currently 9 people living in 5 rooms (so it’s a bit tight, to be honest) but I love everyone in this house to the moon and back, so it’s alright.
We found the place through a local realtor, so if you’re looking for off-campus housing later on, it’s definitely possible! I like my current housing situation because when I come home, it really feels like HOME and not an impermanent residence, like my old USC apartment sometimes felt.
